Landscape Department Supervisor
Summary: Assists in design and implementation of new landscape projects as well as involvement in landscape maintenance projects, oversees all work done on projects and supervises individuals and teams in the Department
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design new landscape projects including irrigation systems design
- Organize workers in Department to implement new designs and delegate duties
- Organize team when necessary for landscape maintenance projects
Qualifications:
- Experience working with landscape companies
- Experience in landscape design (drafting, CAD or other)
- Managerial skills (experience preferred)
- Good organizational skills
- Some knowledge of sprinkler installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of plant material and appropriate use
- Experience in use of and ability to give instruction in use of landscaping equipment and machinery
- Good communication skills for dealing with clients/employees
- Good work ethic and positive attitude desired
- Good driving record required
Physical Demands:
Employee will frequently need to use and operate potentially hazardous machinery, will be able to do physical labor when necessary, will be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds or possibly more. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Vision must be good enough to safely use equipment and operate vehicle/machinery, judge distances, etc.Sprinkler Department Supervisor/Foreman
